M.A.(History)

This course enables the students to know about the history of various dynasties, cultures, civilizations, administrations, constitutions, events, heritages, logics, political systems, societies, legacies, freedom movements, global affairs, exploitations, and disasters. The syllabus of this subject covers the entire historical global affairs which shows a clear historical picture to the students. More importance is given to the History of India. This study will create a deep and intense historical knowledge among the students.

Objective

To provide the student a critical understanding of developments in historiography
To stimulate intellectual curiosity and research attitude in the students
To introduce the various Indian and foreign traditions of history writing
To provide the student with awareness of current political debates

Eligibility

Students having completed any Undergraduate degree for the PG Course in History particularly those who have completed studies in the following pattern (i) 10 + 2 + 3; (ii)10 + 3 + 3 or (iii) 10 + 2 + 4 (including Engineering and other degrees as followed in Central Universities and in State Universities of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana).
